Ridge has been in dire need of a haircut for sometime now. Danielle prefers to keep his hair a little long in back, but when he started resembling Alexander Godunov from DIE HARD, I knew it was time for a trim.
To say that Ridge hates getting his hair cut would be a huge understatement. He despises it. The way he carries on, you'd think we were water-boarding the child. At least this recent visit to the barber shop wasn't as bad as his first haircut he received at Disney World, which was full-scale, Def-Con 4 meltdown.
To calm him down, we attempted a bribe of lollipops. When that had zero effect, we used the tried and true "bubble tactic," straight out of the Toddler 101 Handbook. Nothing doing. In the end, we simply had to sit there and wait out the storm of screams and tears.
Next time, I think I'm going to recommend a "high & tight" Marine Corp cut for him. That should buy us a solid six months before we have to endure the torture of the barber chair again.
poor little guy. maybe you should take him to that "hooter's like" place in buckhead where they have flat screens, beer, and cute girls to cut your hair. I think it's called knock out's or something like that.
