"Santa put candy in my Chuck's!"

This past Saturday was St. Nicholas Day. Obviously being from the South and of Scotch/Irish decent I had completely no idea what the heck that was. Danielle informed me that St. Nicholas Day is really big over in Germany. Apparently over there, the night before St. Nicholas Day, all the little German kids put their shoes out and Santa comes by and fills them with candy. Who knew? Anyway, Danielle being about as full-blooded German as you can get (her maiden name was Crout for Pete's Sake) wanted to celebrate this tradition with our boys this year. So we set Ridge's Chuck Taylor's and Colton's shoes out in the hallway and that night we filled them with candy and prizes.

Ridge woke up and when seeing what Santa had left him exclaimed, "Santa put candy in my Chucks!" He spent to rest of the morning carrying around a sneaker under one arm and munching on miniature Kit Kat Bars.
